TRUST…………I have heard it said before that there are three levels of trust.  The first and lowest level of trust borders on paranoia.  People with this kind of trust very rarely extend themselves to others.  They feel like they might be treated poorly if they ever risk.

The second level of trust is a little deeper.  People who practice this kind of trust treat people well, as long as they are being treated well.  If something goes wrong, however, then the good treatment that they were giving others stops.  The trust is conditional.

The deepest level of trust occurs at a third level.  This is a rare thing.  People who experience this kind of trust let their guard down.  They do this because they know that they are unconditionally loved.

Have you ever considered the kind of trust you can with your Heavenly Father?

This Sunday will be a reminder of the deep trust we have with our Heavenly Father.  The back of our bulletin cover says, “Our heavenly Father has shown His grace and mercy for us in all that He has done.  We have not earned His love, nor do we deserve it.  Yet, for the sake of His Son, Jesus, the Father loves us and gives us all things out of His goodness and mercy.”

Our God extends Himself even when we don’t deserve it.  We give thanks and we can now model this kind of trust in our earthly relationships.
