SAFETY……………The weather will be stormy over the next couple of days–rain with high winds. I just read that we can expect damaging winds that may cause power outages and downed trees. The church is prepared for the storm–thankfully Jim and Bob covered the dirt with a tarp behind church.
If you are in need of supplies or in need of help, please call or email one of our elders or me. A good start of items includes:
- Water–one gallon of water per person per day for at least three days, for drinking and sanitation.
- Food–at least a three day supply of non-perishable food.
- Battery powered or hand crank radio.
- Flashlight and extra batteries.
- First aid kit.
- Local maps.
It is important that we keep track of each other in the days ahead.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL………….We will pick up where we left off last week with Chapter 6 from Believe. Thank you, Brad, for leading the discussion. We gather at 9:45 for opening and then go to class!
BLOOD DRIVE…………Great job everyone! And thank you to the volunteers who are helping to make this possible. As of few minutes ago, we have 45 of the 47 slots filled for the Blood Drive. Please pray for those serving and donating on Friday that all goes smoothly.
STONEYBROOK…………We gather for a hymn sing at Stoneybrook this Sunday at 3 pm. All are invited! And the best part is that you get to pick most of the songs.
SONG SUGGESTION BOX……….We are getting low on suggestions. Consider selecting a song/hymn that you would like sung at church during worship. Each week we are selecting one hymn from the box. This is your way of participating in the planning of worship.
