SELF DEVELOPMENT……………..Have you ever heard the saying, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”?  I don’t think that saying is true.  Not just that, I think it is quite dangerous to think that we cannot grow, stretch and change.  God calls us to be people who make self-development a life-long habit.  God has gifted us with the Holy Spirit to blaze new paths and to take on opportunities placed before us.

How do you think the following people would respond to today’s common saying, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”:

Moses…………….Moses picked up a whole new set of skills at age forty and then took a major leadership role 40 years later!

Abraham………..Abraham became a world traveler at age 70.  Also, became a father at age 90.  Impressive………I feel like I’m barely hanging in there at 36!

Paul……………Paul didn’t begin his missionary journeys until his forties.

God has new things to teach us at each stage in life.  You can teach an old dog new tricks.

What new projects is God placing before you?

THANK YOU………….Alicia, the girls and I are back from Michigan.  We are so thankful for the opportunity to see family and celebrate the life of Alicia’s grandmother.  Thank you to all who filled in while we were away.  And………..thank you especially for your prayers.  So comforting to know that you are covered in prayer!
