PUMPKIN THEOLOGY…………Just wanted to share a light and helpful post I saw today on Facebook.  I hope it brings a smile to your face.  🙂

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin.  God lifts you up, takes you in and washes all the dirt off of you.  He opens you up and scoops out all the yucky stuff–including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.  Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

PRAYER WALK.…………Come to Peace tomorrow (October 27) at 3:30 for a walk with the pastor.  It is actually more than a walk as we will pray at certain points along the way.  All are invited.  We won’t walk any further than 2 miles and will be back by 4:30.

REFORMATION SUNDAY (This Sunday–October 30th)………..Come to church and wear red in honor of the Reformation.  This is a Sunday that we recognize Martin Luther’s focus in reforming the Church to “keep the main thing, the main thing.”  The freedom Jesus offers in his life, death and resurrection is what the Church will always build its foundation.

ALL SAINTS’ SUNDAY (The following Sunday–November 6th)……………On this Sunday we give thanks for those members of the Peace family and beyon who have died in Christ.  We recognize mainly the ways in which the Lord worked through them, and we look forward to the happiest of family reunions at our Father’s house in heaven!  If you would like a loved one remembered with the ringing of the bell during worship, please inform Pastor or Sandi.

PHILOMATH OPEN STUDIOS…………..This is the last weekend of Philomath’s Art Tour.  Galleries throughout the town and outlying areas will be open from noon to five for viewing.  Go to this website for details on location:  philomathopenstudios.com.  Debby Sundbaum-Sommers is opening up her studio–stop by and say hello.  Debby is location #1 on the map.

SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE STUDY………..Sorry for the technical difficulties with the Bible Study last week!  Brad did a great job in leading us.  We are going to cover the chapter again–Chapter 7 on Humanity.  This time we will have Randy Frazee’s video introduction.  We have had a great turn out for Bible Study this fall–lets keep the momentum going!
