HALL OF FAME……..There was a sense of greatness when I walked on the field of the old Busch Stadium, the home of the St. Louis Cardinals from 1966-2005.  Great players had played there.  Bob Gibson……..the pitcher who dominated baseball so much that baseball was forced to lower the pitching mound to give batters more of a chance to hit the ball.  Ozzie Smith………….the wizard shortstop who would run out every game and do a flip as he took his position.  I was never a St. Louis Cardinal fan until I walked in that stadium and felt the nostalgia–the love of the past.

All Saint’s Day is this Sunday at Peace.  It too gives us a sense of nostalgia as we remember loved ones from our past.  We remember their amazing contributions.  Some of them lived through the first years of Peace’s existence as a church.  Some of these past greats could tell stories about you because they had you in Sunday School!  Some could share a joke about how things used to be.  ALL would speak to God’s love for them and how God showed that love in the giving of His Son–Jesus.

This Sunday we will recognize those who have passed before us.  Email or call me if you would like someone added to the list below.  It doesn’t have to be a Peace member, it could be a relative or friend who passed away this year or years before.  Their name will be printed in the bulletin and a special time will be set aside in the service as the bell will be rung after each name is read in prayerful silence.

Faithfully departed 2014:
