RALLY DAY SUNDAY.…………Sunday School for all ages starts this Sunday!  Sunday School begins at 9:45 am with Worship to follow at 11 am.  And we will have the bouncy house and games for the children with the barbecue cooking for all!

Adult Bible Study…….. I did want to share with you the engaging Adult Bible Study we have planned.  Our Adult Bible Study will be taking a look at eight significant moments of Martin Luther’s life.  Do you know much about Luther?  About the Reformation?  This study will allow you to creatively engage with an important part of history in Jesus’ Church.  The study is meant to encourage you in your own walk with Lord and inspire you to live boldly for Jesus.  To prepare for this Sunday’s lesson, consider these questions:

“How do you picture God?  A friend?  A judge?  An unknowable far-off being?  On what do you base your picture of God?”

I am looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.

LUTHER MOVIE………..I remember hearing in seminary that Martin Luther is the third most written about person in all of history.  I seriously don’t know if that is true.  Who knows how someone could make such a claim?  Yet, it is important for us to consider Luther’s significant contribution to Church history.

PBS is dedicating prime time television on Tuesday, September 12 at 7 pm to Martin Luther.  I am encouraging you to check it out.  The movie is called “Martin Luther: The Idea that Changed the World”.  The production of the movie included many of our seminary professors and theologians in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

THANK YOU…………Thank you to so many people who helped plan, coordinate and serve for LaVerne Sandrock’s and Warren Sahnow’s Memorial services at Peace.  There were many visitors who commented to me about how comforting the services were and how pleasant the fellowship was afterwards.  Thank you, Lord, for the blessing LaVerne and Warren were for our Peace family.  They truly lived the faith and were examples for us all to follow.
