WELCOME . . . . . . Good morning and welcome to Peace Lutheran Church. I am Elder Rick Durling and will be leading us in our online worship today. Pastor Lucke is taking some time to recover from illness and will be back with us next week. Today gives us an opportunity to hear once again about what God thinks of us. He loves us. He sent His Son not to condemn, but to bring life to us.
ANNOUNCEMENT…. There are some adjustments our congregation is making in light of the rise of COVID cases in the community and congregation. Peace is going to be offering a parking lot communion service next week, Sunday, January 23 at our typical worship time of 11:0O am.
We will be holding off on in-person fellowship next Sunday as well. We will be holding the congregational meeting virtually via Zoom at 1 PM next Sunday. Be looking for a link to join the meeting from Dan or George.
Peace is holding off on in-person gatherings for a couple of weeks reassessing what to do next at that time.
Let us begin. our time together in prayer.
Pastor: Almighty and everlasting God, who governs all things in heaven and on earth, mercifully hear the prayers of Your people and grant us Your peace through all ow days. We pray this through Jesus
Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
People: Amen.
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever
believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not
send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the
world might be saved through him.
SERMON HYMN: “Precious Lord, Take My Hand’
Precious Lord, take my hand, Lead me on let me stand;
I am tired, l am weak, l am worn.
Through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light.
Take my hand, precious Lord; lead me home.
.
When my way grows drear, Precious Lord, linger near,
When my life is almost gone,
Hear my cry, hear my call; Hold my hand lest I fall,
Take my hand, precious Lord; lead me home.
.
When the darkness appears and the night draws near
And the day is almost gone,
At the river I stand; Guide my feet, hold my hand,
Take my hand, precious Lord; lead me home.
SERMON: “There is no condemnation”

CLOSING SONG “Sent Forth by God’s Blessing”
1 Sent forth by God’s blessing,
our true faith confessing,
the people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The supper is ended.
Oh, now be extended
the fruits of this service in all who believe.
The seed of Christ’s teaching,
receptive souls reaching,
shall blossom in action for God and for all.
Your grace shall incite us,
your love shall unite us
to work for your kingdom and answer your call.
.
2 With praise and thanksgiving
to God ever-living,
the tasks of our ev’ryday life we will face—
our faith ever sharing,
in love ever caring,
embracing God’s children, the whole human race.
With your feast you feed us,
with your light now lead us;
unite us as one in this life that we share.
Then may all the living
with praise and thanksgiving
give honor to Christ and his name that we bear.
Leader: The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
The Lord lift up His countenance upon You and give you Peace.
Amen.
Leader: Go in peace! Serve the Lord!
People: Thanks be to God!
